Bawumia backs abolition of proposed pre-shipment car inspection

New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has backed the abolition of a proposed pre-shipment inspection regime for imported vehicles following concerns raised by car dealers over its potential impact on their businesses.The former Vice President made the position known after meeting the leadership of the Vehicles and Assets Dealers Union of Ghana (VADUG) as part of his stakeholder consultations on challenges facing the automobile trade.
