Ofosu Offers To Assist OSP Petitioners With Audition General’s COVID-19 Funds Adult Report
According to a Post on Kofi Ofosu official facebook account on Wednesday, October 28,2026,Ghanaian commentator Kofi Ofosu has offered to assist Nana Kwadwo Jantuah with documentary evidence from the Auditor-General’s special audit report on the utilisation of COVID-19 funds allocated to the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service.
In a Facebook post, Ofosu said he had seen Jantuah’s petition to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), seeking an investigation into the former Health Minister over the use of funds released to the ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ofosu said he was prepared to provide details from the Auditor-General’s report to support efforts to examine how the funds were utilised.
According to him, the report was the outcome of a special audit conducted by the Auditor-General and subsequently submitted to Parliament of Ghana.
He further indicated that he had attached documentary evidence detailing how the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service applied the funds allocated to them.
“I would like to assist you freely with details of the full audit report by the Auditor General on the utilisation of the COVID-19 funds,” Ofosu stated in his post.
His offer comes amid renewed calls for scrutiny of the management of public funds released during the pandemic, when the government made financial provisions to support the country’s response to the health emergency.
The proposed assistance could provide Jantuah with additional documentation to support his petition and help identify issues that may warrant further examination by the relevant authorities.
However, the submission of a petition does not in itself establish wrongdoing, and any allegations against the former Health Minister would require investigation and verification by the appropriate authorities.
