The revised schedule means older persons will receive their money first, followed by disability grant beneficiaries and those receiving children’s grants.

The changes come ahead of the elections scheduled for Wednesday, 4 November 2026, with National Treasury approving the new payment arrangements after consultations with stakeholders.

Under the revised schedule, beneficiaries can expect their grants on the following dates:

SASSA said the changes were introduced to ensure payments continue smoothly and securely during the election period.

“The agency remains committed to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive their grants in an orderly and reliable manner,” the agency said in its statement.

Beneficiaries whose grants are under review have also been urged to respond to official communication and attend review appointments when requested.

The agency has set aside 5 November for payments to beneficiaries whose grants are undergoing review.

SASSA has cautioned beneficiaries against making unnecessary trips to its offices, assuring them that payments will be processed according to the revised schedule.

Beneficiaries are also encouraged to use SASSA’s official communication channels to get accurate information and avoid falling for misleading claims about grant payments.

The revised dates apply to November, with beneficiaries advised to follow official announcements for any further updates.
