Mr Eazi calls on Shatta Wale to link up and complete their joint album

Mr Eazi is ready to get back in the studio with Shatta Wale to bring their long-awaited joint album to life, but there is one thing standing in the way: time.

The Nigerian singer has publicly called on the Dancehall king to link up, saying they may need to spend two full weeks together to create the project.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Mr Eazi reminded Shatta Wale of their outstanding collaboration, saying he remained committed to producing the album.

“Shatta Wale, if you’re watching this right now, I just want to tell you that I’m not forgotten. We’re supposed to produce the album, so we need to link up. Let’s link up and finish the album,” he said.

When asked whether the two musicians had lost touch, Mr Eazi clarified that they still communicated but explained that producing the album would require them to spend an extended period together.

According to him, the project goes beyond exchanging ideas remotely, as he needs to be physically present with Shatta Wale to connect with his energy and creative process.

“For me to produce a Shatta Wale album, me and Shatta Wale have to be in the same place. It’s not like left, right, you know. We have to be in the same place. I have to vibe off his energy,” he explained.

Mr Eazi said their demanding schedules had made it difficult to find enough time to work together, revealing that the longest they had spent in the same place was probably about four hours.

He believes they would need to stay together for approximately two weeks to give the album the attention it requires.

“Me and him are so, so busy that I don’t even know when we’ll be able to sit in the same place. The longest we’ve sat in the same place is probably maybe four hours, so we have to sit in the same place for like two weeks,” he said.

Despite the scheduling challenges, Mr Eazi expressed his willingness to work on the project, suggesting that the collaboration remains something he would love to bring to fruition.
