After Kaduna Rally, There Are Indications Tinubu Is Being Prepared For Another Foreign Trip— Sowere

Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has raised concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s reported plan to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, alleging that arrangements are being made for another foreign trip following the president’s appearance at the APC campaign rally in Kaduna State.

Sowore made the claim in a post on X, where he questioned the timing of the reported trip and raised concerns about Tinubu’s health, although he did not provide evidence to substantiate his health-related claims.

“Nigeria is in serious trouble! After the Kaduna rally, there are now indications that Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialabat is being prepared for another foreign trip tomorrow, October 29, 2026, amid growing questions about his health,” he wrote.

The AAC chieftain further alleged that five state governors, some ministers and prominent businesspeople were being assembled to accompany the president on the trip. He suggested that their presence could be intended to make the journey appear to be an official business visit.

Sowore also drew a comparison between Tinubu and the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, whose health problems became a major issue during his time in office.

“Like Yar’Adua, like Tinubu?” he asked, ending his post with the hashtags #RevolutionNow and #TinubuMustGo.

The comments come amid political exchanges following Tinubu’s appearance at the APC campaign rally in Kaduna and reports of his planned journey to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, an Islamic pilgrimage, and pray for Nigeria.

Sowore’s remarks have added to the debate surrounding the president’s foreign travels and fitness for office. However, his claims about the composition and purpose of the reported delegation, as well as his concerns about Tinubu’s health, were not substantiated in the post.

Neither the president’s office nor the Presidency’s official position on Sowore’s allegations was included in the information provided.
