“You’re members of the APC,If I see you work outside APC,I’ll collect the vehicles from you–Uzodimma

According to a report by Premium Times, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared that there is no Rainbow Coalition Movement in the state, while directing members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement to work exclusively for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

The governor warned that the campaign group must remain loyal to the ruling party and support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid alongside other APC candidates.

He also cautioned members against engaging in political activities outside the party, threatening to withdraw the campaign vehicles provided to them if they failed to comply with his directive.

Uzodimma made the remarks on Tuesday during the flag-off of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Imo State and the distribution of campaign vehicles to the group in Owerri, the state capital.

The event marked the commencement of activities by the support group, which is mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The governor attended the programme and handed over the vehicles to the group as part of efforts to support its campaign activities across the state.

During his address, he used the occasion to spell out the political expectations of the group and the need for its members to work within the APC.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is a political support group established to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Its activities are aimed at reaching voters and encouraging them to support the President and the ruling party in the forthcoming general elections.

At the event in Owerri, Uzodimma emphasised that the group’s activities should be directed towards securing victory for the APC rather than supporting other political movements.

He insisted that members should identify with the party and ensure that their mobilisation efforts remained consistent with its political objectives ahead of the elections.

The governor also made it clear that members of the group were expected to remain committed to the APC following the distribution of the campaign vehicles.

He warned that the vehicles were provided to facilitate their political mobilisation and should not be used for activities that could undermine the party or promote another political organisation.

Uzodimma stressed that the support group had a responsibility to work towards the success of Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the next general election.

His remarks included a direct warning that he would reclaim the vehicles if he discovered that the beneficiaries were working outside the ruling party.

The event was broadcast live on Channels Television, according to a report monitored by PREMIUM TIMES.

During the programme, Uzodimma addressed members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement and reiterated his position on their political affiliation and responsibilities.

He specifically instructed them to remain within the APC and focus their efforts on the party’s electoral success.

His declaration that there was no Rainbow Coalition Movement in Imo State accompanied the warning against supporting political activities outside the APC.

The governor maintained that the campaign group should use the resources provided to it solely for the objectives for which they were distributed.

Addressing members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement during the flag-off ceremony in Owerri on Tuesday, Uzodimma warned that the campaign vehicles would be withdrawn if the group worked outside the APC.

He told the beneficiaries that their membership of the support group did not remove their responsibility to remain loyal to the ruling party and work for the victory of Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He said, “The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, listen to me. You’re members of the APC. If I see you work outside the APC, I’ll collect the vehicles from you.”
