After I Was Kidnapped By Boko Haram,One Of Them Fell Sick,I Prayed For Him And He Got Better—Pastor Peter Oluwafemi Samuel

Pastor Peter Oluwafemi Samuel has recounted his three-month experience in Boko Haram captivity, describing how he prayed for one of his captors after the militant reportedly fell ill during his detention.

The pastor shared the experience in a video published by FeelRightNews on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, explaining that he was abducted while travelling to northern Nigeria. According to Samuel, his captors took him on a long journey through the bush before reaching their camp. Throughout the ordeal, he said he continued praying and trusting God for intervention and eventual freedom.

He recalled that an unexpected incident occurred when one of the militants became sick and failed to recover. Samuel said he offered to pray for the man, who agreed to the request. The pastor explained that he subsequently prayed for the sick captor, who later appeared to recover. He described the incident as a significant moment during his time in captivity.

Samuel further disclosed that the militants began treating him differently after the incident, providing him with food and showing him some care. However, he maintained that his primary concern was not his comfort or access to food but securing his release from captivity.

Recounting the experience, Samuel said, “I was kidnapped by Boko Haram and spent three months with them. They took me while I was traveling to the North. We trekked deep into the bush until we reached their camp, and all the while I prayed that God would show His mighty hand.”

He added that although his captors offered him food after the prayer incident, he made it clear that he wanted to regain his freedom. According to the pastor, he told the militants, “I don’t need your food, what I need is for you to release me.”
