Kaizer Chiefs Respond to Mngqithi Links After Yanga Exit

The rumors that Manqoba Mngqithi, fresh off his release from Young Africans of Tanzania, is about to sign with Kaizer Chiefs have been denied by the club. Sporting director of the Chiefs Kaizer Motaung Jr. addressed the rumors head-on, calling them “completely lies.”

With Mngqithi’s departure from Yanga, speculation about the future of the seasoned South African coach began anew. At this time, neither a club nor an appointment has been announced for him by the Chiefs. According to Motaung Jr.’s statement, the club is denying the allegations that he is involved with Naturena.

These rumors have come to light right when Chiefs need them to go away. Since losing the CAF Confederation Cup, the club has openly supported Fernando Da Cruz, who is currently coaching the team. Because of this backing, some have wondered if a bench shakeup is possible; however, the club’s denial implies that the rumors regarding Mngqithi should not be taken at face value.

Additionally, Mngqithi has contributed to the conversation. Somebody had previously obstructed his transfer to the Chiefs, he claimed a few months ago. Discussions regarding his future since his departure from Yanga have brought up that comment once again. It doesn’t indicate that a new agreement is being discussed.

There will be a lot of interest in Mngqithi’s next job while he is available because of his stellar reputation in South African football, which he has earned through his work with domestic clubs. At this time, the club’s denial is the most important development. There is uncertainty about Mngqithi’s short-term intentions, and chiefs have supported Da Cruz. Speculation about his supposed trip to Naturena will persist until a definitive statement is made by either party.
