I Don’t Think There Is Any Successful Person Who Wants To Live In Nigeria After Retirement–Blaqbonez

According to a report by Daily Post on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has revealed that he does not intend to spend the rest of his life living in Nigeria, particularly when he retires.

The music star explained that his vision for retirement involves living on a large ranch and raising animals, a lifestyle he believes would be difficult to achieve in Nigeria.

Blaqbonez made the remarks while discussing his future plans and his perception of life in Nigeria compared with other countries.

According to the rapper, he finds it difficult to imagine successful people choosing to remain in Nigeria after retirement, although he acknowledged that some may prefer to do so.

His comments reflect his personal aspirations and his desire to enjoy a different lifestyle in his later years.

The singer has previously expressed concerns about Nigeria’s level of development, explaining that travelling abroad and experiencing other countries opened his eyes to the differences in infrastructure and living conditions.

Despite his reservations about the country, Blaqbonez has acknowledged that Nigeria’s energetic atmosphere and the determination of its people continue to inspire him to work harder.

However, his preferred retirement plan appears to be centred on having enough space and resources to enjoy a quieter life away from the challenges he associates with living in Nigeria.

He also suggested that the kind of environment he envisions for his retirement is not something he readily associates with the country.

Blaqbonez said, “I don’t want to spend the rest of my life living in Nigeria. I don’t think that there is any successful person who wants to live in Nigeria after retirement. Maybe there are some people. But the way I picture my retirement is living in a big ranch and raising some animals. That is not a thing that is in Nigeria.”
