DStv Slashes Prices: 90 Channels for GH¢50 as MultiChoice Announces New Packages

MultiChoice Ghana has announced plans to make its DStv subscription packages more affordable, introducing new pricing options that will allow customers to access a variety of television channels at different price points, effective November 5, 2026.

According to Okyere, customers seeking full football coverage will pay GH¢250, while the premium package, offering premium sports and entertainment content, will cost GH¢570.

We’re making DStv more affordable, offering 90 channels for ₵50, 123 for ₵100, full football coverage for ₵250, and premium sports and entertainment for ₵570, effective 5th November, Okyere stated.

The introduction of lower-priced options could also appeal to customers who have struggled to maintain their subscriptions because of financial constraints.

By offering packages at GH¢50 and GH¢100, MultiChoice Ghana appears to be targeting a broader section of the television market.

Sports enthusiasts, particularly football fans, will also be watching closely to determine how the GH¢250 package meets their expectations regarding access to football coverage.

Meanwhile, customers interested in a wider range of premium sports and entertainment content will have the option of subscribing to the GH¢570 package.

The announcement comes amid continuing discussions about the affordability of pay television services and the need for providers to balance subscription costs with customers’ expectations.
