DStv Drops Major Price Bombshell: 90 Channels for GH₵50 as Alex Okyere Announces New Deals

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Delali Serwoepkor, has claimed that Sammy Gyamfi was one of the key figures who contributed to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections.

According to Serwoepkor, the continued allegations against Gyamfi by members of the opposition are connected to the role he believes the NDC official played in securing the party’s electoral victory.

Serwoepkor argued that Gyamfi’s political communication and contribution to the NDC’s campaign made him an influential figure during the election period, suggesting that the NPP’s persistent criticism of him reflects lingering frustration over its defeat.

“Sammy Gyamfi was one of the key reasons NPP lost the 2024 election, it’s why they constantly make unfounded allegations against him,” Serwoepkor said.

The comments have added another dimension to the political exchanges between the NDC and NPP, with supporters of both parties continuing to debate the factors that influenced the outcome of the 2024 elections.

The NDC returned to power under John Dramani Mahama following the December 2024 general elections, bringing an end to the NPP’s tenure in government. Since then, political commentators and party communicators have continued to assess the campaign strategies, messaging and public sentiment that shaped the results.

Serwoepkor’s remarks place Gyamfi at the centre of that discussion, portraying him as a prominent figure whose activities may have helped strengthen the NDC’s campaign against its political rival.

Gyamfi has remained an influential voice in Ghanaian politics, particularly in discussions involving the two major political parties. His statements and political activities have frequently attracted reactions from both supporters and critics.

However, Serwoepkor’s assertion that Gyamfi was among the key reasons for the NPP’s defeat represents his political assessment. Electoral outcomes are generally influenced by several factors, including economic conditions, public confidence, campaign organisation, voter expectations and the performance of political candidates.

Similarly, his description of the allegations against Gyamfi as unfounded reflects the NDC communicator’s position and does not independently establish the validity or otherwise of specific claims.

The remarks are likely to generate further reactions from both parties as political communicators continue to defend their respective records and challenge their opponents.

For Serwoepkor, the continued criticism of Gyamfi is linked to the political consequences of the NPP’s 2024 defeat.

His comments underscore how the rivalry between the NDC and NPP continues beyond election day, with prominent party figures remaining at the centre of debates over political influence, accountability and public support.
