20 Years in Kumawood But Still Joining Trotro — Maame Gold Wipes Actress’ Tears With Brand New Car

It is a story that has touched many hearts in Ghana.

Kumawood veteran actress Christiana Awuni recently opened up about her painful reality. Despite spending more than 20 years in the Ghanaian movie industry, entertaining families, making people laugh and cry, she still does not have a car of her own.

She revealed that she still joins Trotro and books Uber to go to work and run her daily activities.

For someone who has given two decades of her life to Kumawood, many Ghanaians found it hard to believe. Some felt sad, others felt angry that veterans who built the industry are left to struggle while newcomers show off luxury.

Ghanaian businesswoman Maame Gold heard her story and decided to step in not with pity, but with action.

Maame Gold has surprised Christiana Awuni with a brand-new Toyota Sienta. A clean, beautiful car to end her years of standing by the roadside waiting for Trotro and struggling to pay Uber drivers.

The presentation was emotional. Christiana could not hold back her joy as she received the keys to her new car.

Knowing that buying a car is one thing and maintaining it is another, she also gave Christiana Awuni an undisclosed amount of money to buy fuel. So the actress can drive her new car without worrying about how to buy petrol.

Christiana Awuni received the gifts in good faith and expressed her immense appreciation to Maame Gold for the kind gesture. She thanked her and prayed for blessings upon her business and family.

For Maame Gold, it was a simple act of kindness. But for Christiana Awuni and for many veterans watching, it means everything.

It is a reminder that we should not forget those who paved the way. Kumawood stars like Christiana gave us memories when there was no YouTube, no Netflix, no big money. They deserve honor while they are still alive.

Today, after 20 long years, Christiana Awuni will no longer join Trotro. She has her own car, her own fuel money, and a new reason to smile.
