List Of ORAL Cases In Court This Week Sparks Reactions Online

As at October 26, 2026, Ghanaians have taken to social media to react to a list of corruption-related cases scheduled for court this week, shared by Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) on its official Facebook page. The post described it as a busy week for ORAL prosecutions, with the National Service cases leading the pack.

According to the schedule, which covers October 26 to 30, proceedings began on Monday at the Specialized Court 1, where the Republic v. Kwabena Adu Boahene and two others, the cybersecurity software scandal, was set for a motion to strike out portions of a reply to a submission of no case. The same day, the Criminal Court 5 was to hold a case management conference in the National Service case involving Osei Assibey Antwi. The Criminal Court 1 was also scheduled to hear the cross-examination of the fourth prosecution witness, an investigator, in the Tano-Nimiri Forest Reserve mining case involving Akonta Mining and three others.

On Tuesday, October 27, the Criminal Court 4 will hear the evidence-in-chief and cross-examination of the fourth prosecution witness in the National Service case against Gifty Oware-Mensah. The Tano-Nimiri case will continue at the Criminal Court 1, while the General Jurisdiction 2 will hold a case management conference in the Exim Bank loan case involving Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, and two others.

On Thursday, October 29, the Criminal Court 4 will hold a case management conference for the defence in the Skytrain case involving Asamoah and another.

The post drew mixed reactions. Many commended ORAL for keeping the public informed and for its consistency, with some saying the agency was working at full strength. Others expressed scepticism about the outcome of the cases, questioning whether meaningful convictions would follow and asking about the status of a tribunal bill passed by Parliament. Some users also enquired about the timing of other high-profile cases not listed this week, while others called for the next set of suspects to be brought before the courts.

The reactions reflect sustained public interest in the fight against corruption and in how the cases progress.
