Key NPP Members Who Have Joined Dr. Amoakoh Baah’s New Political Movement

The New Patriotic Party is facing renewed internal tensions following the departure of Richard Amoako Baah, who has launched a separate political movement known as the New Patriotic Front.

During an appearance on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Dr. Baah disclosed that over 30 prominent figures had joined his new movement. According to him, the growing support reflects widespread frustration among party members rather than a dispute involving him alone.

He further claimed that some NPP supporters outside Ghana, especially those in the United States, had expressed dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership and direction.

Dr. Baah criticized the leadership for allegedly silencing critics and disregarding the concerns of grassroots members. He maintained that the failure to accommodate differing opinions contributed to the party’s poor electoral performance. He also questioned why the leadership had not taken steps to change its approach or encourage greater internal debate.

The establishment of the New Patriotic Front could create additional challenges for the NPP by encouraging more members to leave. As tensions continue, the party faces growing pressure to address members’ concerns and introduce reforms to preserve its unity.
