Dismas Indiza and Joseph Karanja Share Lead at Rift Valley Championship!
Navigating the par-73 Nakuru Golf Club course, Indiza delivered an action-packed round featuring an eagle on the 13th hole alongside five birdies, offsetting five bogeys to claim a share of the top spot.
Karanja matched Indiza’s 71 with six birdies on the 6th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 15th, and 16th holes, blunting four bogeys to join the Kakamega veteran at 2-under-par.

“It was a good round overall, and I’m pleased with how I played today. I managed to make some good birdies and take advantage of a few opportunities, although there were also some mistakes along the way. I’ll take the positives into the next round,” said Dismas Indiza.
“It was a mixed day for me. I made some good birdies and felt I was playing well, but the triple bogey cost me a few valuable shots. I’ll need to stay patient and minimise the mistakes,” noted John Lejirma after posting a 72.
Sponsored by NCBA Bank, the tournament continues on Monday with the second round, after which the top 30 players and ties will cut through to Tuesday’s final round to compete for the Ksh 2 million prize purse and OWGR points.\
