Baby Top Leaks Playful Phone Call with Uhuru Kenyatta on His 65th Birthday, Leaves Kenyans Amused

Former Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, has amused Kenyans after sharing a playful phone conversation with retired President Uhuru Kenyatta as he celebrated his 65th birthday.

The conversation, which featured affectionate nicknames and light-hearted exchanges, attracted attention on social media, with many Kenyans reacting to the former Head of State’s relaxed response to the presenter.

Uhuru celebrated his birthday on Monday, October 26, 2026, with messages of goodwill coming from Kenyans, political leaders and members of his family.

In the audio clip shared by Baby Top, the radio personality is heard addressing the former president using playful names, including “Sweetie” and “Sponyo”.

The unexpected nicknames added a humorous touch to the conversation, with the exchange giving listeners a glimpse of the friendly relationship between the presenter and the Kenyatta family.

Baby Top also explained the reason behind the call, revealing that fellow entertainer Muthoni wa Mukiri had encouraged her to contact Uhuru and ask for a share of his birthday celebrations.

Rather than responding harshly to the request, Uhuru maintained a warm and humorous tone throughout the conversation.

The former president thanked Baby Top for remembering his special day and acknowledged the birthday wishes she had conveyed.

“You know that I am old now. I also miss you guys, and thank you very much for the wishes,” Uhuru said during the conversation, as reported by TUKO.co.ke.

His response added to the light-hearted nature of the exchange, which quickly became a talking point among social media users.

The phone call came as the fourth president marked another year of his life, with the former Head of State turning 65.

Born on October 26, 1961, Uhuru served as Kenya’s president from 2013 to 2022 before handing over power to William Ruto following the 2022 General Election.

Since leaving office, the former president has maintained a lower public profile while occasionally engaging with Kenyans through public appearances, interviews and messages on national issues.

His birthday also provided an opportunity for people who interacted with him during his presidency to celebrate his life and recall their experiences with him.

Baby Top’s conversation was among the memorable moments associated with the celebrations, particularly because of its informal and humorous tone.

The recording attracted attention because it showed a more relaxed side of the former president, away from the formal speeches and official engagements commonly associated with his years in office.

Baby Top’s continued association with the Kenyatta family has also drawn interest from her followers, who have followed her interactions with the former first family over the years.

The birthday exchange offered a lighter moment during a day dominated by tributes and reflections on Uhuru’s life and public service.

As Kenyans celebrated the former president’s milestone, the conversation between Baby Top and Uhuru added an entertaining twist to the occasion, with the playful nicknames and warm response becoming the main talking points.
