Kwagga Smith returns to SA with three-year Bulls deal
Springbok loose forward, Kwagga Smith, will resume his rugby career in South Africa. The two-time World Cup winner who has played his rugby in Japan for the last eight seasons, has signed a three-year contract with the Bulls.
Coach Johan Ackermann said he was delighted to team up again with Smith, having coached him previously at the Lions.
Smith made his name in sevens before he did so in the 15-man game.
He won a Commonwealth Games gold with the Blitzboks in Glasgow in 2014 and an Olympic bronze medal in Rio in 2016.
He then took that pace and aggression into the 15’s game and has become a key member of Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus’ squad.
