Gachagua Breaks Silence After John Methu’s Mega Rally as He Makes Bold 288-Day Declaration

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has reacted to a rally led by DCP Secretary General John Methu in Nyahururu, using the event to renew his call for a change of government in 2027.

Gachagua said Kenyans wanted a new political dispensation anchored on respect for citizens, the Constitution, the rule of law and human life.

He praised Methu and the DCP team for expanding the Wantam movement, which campaigns against President William Ruto serving a second term.

“The people of Kenya have made their choice,” Gachagua declared, expressing confidence in the movement’s growing nationwide mobilisation.

He also maintained that the United Alternative Government would take power in 288 days, promising that his team would work to improve the lives of Kenyans.

“We will not let you down but we will work to make Kenya a better place to live,” he said.

Gachagua concluded by thanking Nyahururu residents for their support, as DCP intensifies its political activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
