KSh 105 Million Ferrari Linked to Joho’s Aide Steals the Show at Popular Nairobi Eatery

A KSh 105 million Ferrari Purosangue had Nairobi staring on Friday, October 23, when it parked outside Ranalo Foods K’osewe, one of the city’s best known spots for Luo food.

The car reportedly belongs to a nephew and aide of Mining and Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho, who had been cruising around town before stopping to eat.

A TikToker, @odembo.jr, filmed the whole thing, and the video has been spreading fast. He walks up to the bright red car looking almost lost for words. “This I only see on camera,” he says, before greeting the people inside and getting a close look at the interior.

Ferrari describes the Purosangue as its first ever four-door, four-seater. This one is finished in Rosso Corsa red and sits low and wide, with doors that open in opposite directions. Under the long bonnet is a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12.

Inside, the cabin is covered in leather with contrasting stitching. Two digital screens sit on either side of the driver, with a touchscreen in the middle.

The back seats are shaped like buckets, which gives passengers a sporty ride instead of the soft limousine feel you get in many luxury SUVs. Carbon fibre trim runs through the cabin, so it feels more like a grand tourer than a family car.

Part of why the clip travelled so far is where the car was parked. Ranalo Foods K’osewe is loved for its traditional dishes and serves people from every walk of life.

A car worth more than most Kenyans will earn in several lifetimes sitting outside such a down to earth place was a contrast people could not ignore.

This is not Joho’s first brush with Ferrari headlines. Videos recently showed the CS himself posing with a newly bought Purosangue of the same value. His collection reportedly includes a Bentley Mulsanne, a Ferrari California and a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
