First Lady, Your Women Can Vote and Bring Back Tinubu Into Office, So We May Not Be Needed”Akpabio

According to a video posted on TVC on Friday October 23, 2026, Senate President Godswill Akpabio said the women’s movement led by the First Lady is so strong that women alone can vote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back into office.

He said politicians may not even be needed. He spoke in Abuja at the opening of the headquarters of the Peoples Door-to-Door Movement.

Akpabio praised the First Lady for the groups she has set up across the country. He said she has given supporters uniforms and other materials. He said her movement was gaining much momentum.

In his words, Godswill Akpabio said, “So I also congratulate all of them, with the new Renewed Hope ambassadors and all other support groups, and particularly the various groups by the First Lady.

“I don’t even think the president needs to go to anywhere, because the women alone can vote and bring back the president into office, so we may not even be needed, but we shall be there with you supporting you all the way,” he said.

Akpabio said the new campaign support groups were born out of conviction and were not sponsored by anybody. He said they were backed by people who believe strongly in what the president believes in. He congratulated all of the groups.

He said the Peoples Door-to-Door Movement had already gone through 14 states. He said members were also knocking on doors in Sokoto and Borno at the time of the event. He thanked them for what they were doing.
