Raila Odinga Jr Now Claims Why Sifuna and Other ODM Members Who Left Wanted to Do

Raila Odinga Jr has criticised those who left the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), accusing them of wanting to take the party backwards instead of building on the foundation laid by his father, the late Raila Odinga.

Speaking about the party’s direction, Raila Jr said ODM must remain focused on moving forward and continuing the political journey started by the former Prime Minister.

“Those who left ODM wanted to take us backwards, but we have said that we must move forward from where Baba (Raila) left us,” Raila Jr said.

His remarks come amid political discussions over ODM’s future following Raila Odinga’s death, with questions emerging about the party’s leadership, unity and direction ahead of the 2027 General Election.

ODM remains an important political force in Kenya, and its next steps could shape negotiations around the country’s emerging political alliances.

Raila Jr’s statement emphasises the need for party members to preserve his father’s legacy while focusing on the future.
