Ogogo’s daughters announce plans to go into full time acting, filmmaking

Daughters of late Nollywood icon Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have announced plans to pursue acting and filmmaking more actively, while continuing their father’s legacy in the Nigerian film industry.

The sisters, Taiwo Halima Olamide, aka Lima Ogogo, and Shakirat Olawunmi Taiwo, also known as Kira Ogogo, made the announcement in an appreciation video shared on Instagram.

In the video, they both expressed gratitude to fans, public figures and well-wishers who supported their family following the death of their father.

“You guys loved our daddy so much. This is an appreciation video to tell you people thank you,” the sisters said.

On behalf of the family, they acknowledged the support they received from several prominent personalities, including Honourable Tayo Ayinde, Nigeria’s First Lady, the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and the Olu of Ilaro.

They also thanked members of the public who sent messages and stood by the family during their difficult period.

The sisters subsequently announced their intention to establish themselves in the entertainment industry, urging fans to extend the same affection they showed their father to their forthcoming projects.

“We are coming to the industry, and we’re here to stay,” they said, assuring supporters that they intend to remain active in acting and filmmaking.

They further appealed to fans to watch, share and support their movies and online content, particularly through Kira Ogogo’s YouTube channel, KiraOgogoTV.
