If PBAT Applies 30% Of Powers Rwanda President Is Applying, Nigerians Will Call Him Dictator-Hassan
APC chieftain and former presidential candidate Alwan Hassan has described President Bola Tinubu as a committed democrat who has shown far greater tolerance for dissent than many of his African counterparts.
Speaking on Arise TV, Hassan said, “If President Tinubu applies 30% of the powers the president of Rwanda is applying in that country, Nigerians will call him a dictator. The president has been tolerant of dissenting voices and has shown that he is indeed a democrat,” he said.
He further expressed confidence that the ongoing campaign will bring the administration’s achievements to the attention of ordinary Nigerians who remain unaware of the work being done behind the scenes to set the country up for prosperity.
He described the campaign window as a vital opportunity to reach the grassroots with the government’s story.
One achievement he highlighted in particular was the clearing of a long-standing pension backlog.
He alleged that President Tinubu paid 758 billion naira in pension arrears owed to retirees who had been waiting since 2007. He also claimed that the current administration is settling financial liabilities left behind by previous governments, including those traceable to the tenure of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
