They Are Finished – Red Arrows Coach Drops Dangerous Bomb On Kaizer Chiefs Ahead Of Friday’s Clash
RED ARROWS BOMBSHELL! Chisi Mbewe Backs His Team to Eliminate Kaizer Chiefs After Bold 8/10 Prediction
SOUTH AFRICAN FOOTBALL NEWS | 22 OCTOBER 2026
Red Arrows head coach Chisi Mbewe has sent a strong warning to Kaizer Chiefs ahead of their decisive CAF Champions League encounter, expressing confidence that his Zambian side will secure qualification for the group stage at the expense of the Soweto giants.
Mbewe believes Red Arrows have what it takes to finish the job when the two teams meet at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday, October 23, 2026. The Zambian outfit enters the second leg with a narrow 1-0 advantage secured in the first leg in Ndola.
Despite facing one of South Africa’s most supported football clubs on its home soil, Mbewe is convinced that his players are capable of producing another strong performance to progress in the continental competition.
Asked to rate his confidence in qualification on a scale of one to ten, the Red Arrows coach gave an emphatic response.
“I can assure you that this time around, Red Arrows is qualifying for the group stage. On a scale of one to ten? I would say eight out of ten,” Mbewe said.
His statement underlines the belief within the Red Arrows camp as they prepare for what could be one of their most important matches of the campaign.
Mbewe Warns Chiefs Against Underestimating Red Arrows
Although Red Arrows have the advantage, Mbewe believes his team could have made the return leg even more difficult for Amakhosi.
The coach indicated that his players had opportunities to score more goals in the first encounter, suggesting that the 1-0 result did not fully reflect their attacking potential.
Mbewe has reportedly been working with his squad on maintaining defensive organisation while becoming more clinical when opportunities arise.
He also expects Kaizer Chiefs to attack aggressively as they attempt to overturn the deficit in front of their supporters.
“We know that Kaizer Chiefs will throw all their ammunition that they have just to try and find a goal. We need to utilise the chances and ensure that we don’t allow them to score,” he added.
For Kaizer Chiefs, Friday’s encounter leaves little room for mistakes. The Soweto club must score at least twice without conceding to secure qualification within the 90 minutes.
A 1-0 victory would take the tie to a penalty shootout, while a Red Arrows goal would increase the pressure on the hosts.
Chiefs will therefore need to balance their attacking intentions with defensive discipline to avoid giving their opponents the opportunity to extend their aggregate advantage.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
With Red Arrows arriving full of confidence and Kaizer Chiefs facing a difficult challenge, the decisive encounter promises a tense battle for continental progression. Mbewe has made his intentions clear, but the final outcome will be decided on the pitch.
