Ndindi Nyoro Sends Message to Gachagua, Urges Him to Stop DCP Leaders from Branding Him Ruto’s Mole

Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has challenged Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua to rein in his allies, accusing them of spreading propaganda against him instead of focusing on removing President William Ruto from power in 2027.

The People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) leader raised concerns over what he described as a coordinated campaign by some DCP members to damage his reputation through interviews on vernacular radio and television stations.

Speaking on Thursday, October 22, the lawmaker claimed that some of the leaders had been portraying him as Ruto’s mole and project within the opposition.

He questioned why the alleged attacks had continued despite his commitment to the opposition’s efforts to prevent Ruto from securing another term in the next General Election.

Nyoro argued that repeated attacks by members of the same political party could not be dismissed as individual opinions, particularly when he believed the activities were being organised and supported by party structures.

He challenged Gachagua to address the matter, insisting that opposition leaders should concentrate their efforts on their common political objective rather than engaging in personal disputes.

The PPK leader also claimed that DCP had established a media team whose activities appeared to target him instead of challenging the president.

According to Nyoro, the alleged campaign was counterproductive because it diverted attention from the opposition’s main political rival.

He maintained that the opposition needed to work together if it hoped to defeat Ruto in the 2027 presidential election.

Nyoro further warned that he would not remain silent if the attacks on his reputation continued, signalling that he could disclose damaging information about some of the leaders involved.

The remarks by the Kiharu MP come amid continued criticism from DCP-affiliated leaders, including Nyandarua Senator John Methu, Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa and Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara.

The leaders have questioned Nyoro’s position in the opposition, with allegations that he is President Ruto’s mole sent to divide the Mount Kenya voting bloc ahead of the 2027 General Election.
