Geoffrey Mosiria’s Reported KSh 470,000 Monthly Pay: What His Salary Package Includes

Geoffrey Mosiria’s reported monthly earnings have drawn attention following his dismissal from his position as a Nairobi County chief officer on October 21, 2026.

According to a report by TUKO.co.ke published on October 21, Mosiria’s total monthly compensation is estimated at approximately KSh 470,000. However, he has not publicly disclosed his exact payslip.

The figure includes more than basic salary. The package is understood to cover allowances, medical benefits, insurance and other employment benefits available to county chief officers.

How much does a county chief officer earn?

According to the report, a chief officer in Job Group S earns a basic monthly salary ranging from KSh 133,870 to KSh 197,800.

The amount depends on the officer’s position within the salary scale. In addition to basic pay, the package includes a monthly house allowance of KSh 60,000 and a commuter allowance of KSh 20,000.

These payments increase the total amount an officer receives each month.

The benefits also extend to medical insurance covering the officer, one spouse and up to four dependent children below the age of 25.

The medical package includes inpatient cover of up to KSh 3 million, outpatient cover of KSh 200,000, maternity cover of KSh 100,000, and dental and optical benefits of KSh 50,000 each.

Chief officers serving on fixed-term contracts may also qualify for service gratuity calculated at 31% of their annual basic salary for every year served, according to the report.

Other benefits include group life insurance, personal accident cover and access to car loans and mortgage facilities at an interest rate of 3% per year, subject to the applicable conditions.

Mosiria has previously declined to reveal his exact earnings, saying the money is enough for his needs.

He has also said he donates 10% of his salary to support and rescue street children.

The reported figures offer a glimpse into the financial benefits attached to senior positions in Nairobi County’s administration. However, Mosiria’s actual monthly payslip remains undisclosed.
