NEWS IN: Sifuna Speaks After Meeting Speaker Wetangula & Mudavadi In A Requiem Mass

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has joined National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at a requiem mass for the late Hon. Burudi Nabwera at Friends Church in Lang’ata, Nairobi.

Sifuna shared details of the gathering in a social media post, announcing that the service was taking place in honour of the late Nabwera as leaders and mourners came together to pay their final respects.

“ Happening…… requiem mass for the late Hon. Burudi Nabwera at Friends Church Lang’ata. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Sifuna posted.

The Nairobi senator also met Wetang’ula and Mudavadi during the service, bringing together three prominent political figures from the Western Kenya region at the solemn occasion.

The presence of the three leaders at the requiem mass underscored the gathering’s significance as a moment of remembrance for Nabwera, whose passing has drawn tributes from those who knew him and worked with him.

Wetang’ula, who serves as Speaker of the National Assembly, and Mudavadi, the Prime Cabinet Secretary, joined other mourners in attending the service at the Lang’ata church.

Sifuna’s participation also placed him alongside senior government figures at a time when Kenya’s political landscape continues to attract attention ahead of the 2027 General Election.

However, the gathering was primarily dedicated to honouring the memory of the late Nabwera, with mourners coming together to reflect on his life and offer condolences to his family.

Requiem masses provide an opportunity for family members, friends, colleagues and other mourners to celebrate the life of the deceased before burial.

In his message, Sifuna offered a brief tribute to Nabwera, expressing hope that the departed soul would find eternal peace.

The service at Friends Church Lang’ata brought together leaders and mourners united in paying their respects to the late public figure.
