“Ndiye Huyu” DCI Arrests Nairobi Man Who Killed Girlfriend and Send Disturbing Video to Her Family

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested Nelson Ambia, who is accused of killing his girlfriend, Feruz Hussein, at their home in Sunton, Kasarani, Nairobi.

Ambia was arrested days after the alleged murder, which reportedly followed a disagreement between the couple. He is currently being held at Kasarani Police Station and is expected to appear before a Milimani court as the case proceeds.

His arrest followed a search involving detectives, members of the public and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, who announced a KSh 50,000 reward for anyone who could provide information leading to the suspect’s capture.

According to information shared by Sonko, Feruz was allegedly killed during a domestic dispute at the couple’s residence.

The former governor claimed that Ambia had previously assaulted Feruz and several members of her family, including her mother, siblings and other relatives.

The disagreement that allegedly ended in Feruz’s death reportedly involved her mother, whom Ambia is said to have blamed for the conflict.

In a disturbing development, Ambia allegedly recorded a video message after the incident and sent it to Feruz’s relatives before fleeing the scene. The video reportedly contained a message wishing Feruz rest in peace while blaming her mother for what had happened.

Feruz’s family also informed authorities that Ambia had allegedly threatened to harm her two teenage siblings, raising concerns about their safety.

Following the incident, Feruz’s relatives reported the matter to the police and contacted Sonko’s office, seeking assistance in locating the suspect.

Sonko subsequently announced a KSh 50,000 reward for anyone who could provide reliable information that would lead to Ambia’s arrest.

The appeal came as detectives and members of the public intensified efforts to track him down.

Within days, the suspect was apprehended, bringing an end to the search for him.

After the arrest, Sonko thanked DCI Director Mohammed Amin, Kasarani detectives and residents of Kasarani, Dandora and Naivasha for helping authorities locate the suspect. The former governor maintained that Feruz’s family deserved justice despite the difficult circumstances they faced.

Ambia’s arrest marks a significant development in the investigation into Feruz’s death.

He is expected to face the legal process as authorities continue examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
