“Ndio Hawa” Kawira Mwangaza Unmask Alleged Goons Who Vandalized Her Brand New Vehicle At Githongo
Former Governor Kawira Mwangaza has unmasked alleged goons who attacked and vandalized high end vehicles as the team tried to penetrate at Githongo grounds in Meru.
Speaking at Githongo after her vehicles were vandalized, Kawira Mwangaza claimed that more than 3,000 people had been hired to block her team from accessing the grounds to celebrate Mashujaa Day.
The incident reportedly unfolded outside Githongo grounds, where a group of alleged goons armed with batons was captured causing chaos and damaging vehicles belonging to the former governor and her team.
Footage from the scene showed the suspected attackers wrecking vehicles and vandalizing public address equipment as police officers attempted to disperse the crowd by lobbing teargas canisters.
The confrontation raised concerns over the security of Kawira Mwangaza and her supporters, who had reportedly gathered to participate in the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
In her remarks, the former governor accused Egoji Member of County Assembly (MCA) of allegedly organizing the group to prevent her team from accessing the grounds.
Mwangaza claimed that the attack was deliberate and aimed at frustrating their plans, adding that the destruction of their vehicles exposed her team to danger.
She further questioned why such an incident could occur during a public celebration, where security was expected to be provided to all participants regardless of their political affiliations.
Following the incident, Mwangaza and her husband, Murega Baichu, reportedly rushed to Githongo Police Station to report the matter and seek assistance from law enforcement officers.
However, the former governor claimed that despite reporting the incident, no meaningful action had been taken by the police at the time of her remarks.
The alleged attack has added to political tensions in Meru County, where disagreements among local leaders have occasionally spilled into public gatherings.
Mwangaza’s accusations against the Egoji MCA remain allegations, and the claims would require independent verification and a response from the person accused.
