Edwin Sifuna has already started popularizing his presidential bid across the country as he prepares to face President William Ruto. However, his presidential bid is facing ups and hills due to the party.

Ahead of the 2027, the Linda Mwananchi Movement, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, faces a fresh hurdle in an attempt to reserve its name at the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).

This is after the Liberty National Democratic Alliance (LINDA) filed a formal objection with the Registrar of Political Parties regarding the proposed name change of The Equitable Party (TEP) to the “Linda Mwananchi Movement (LMM)”.

Sifuna had already announced that people should start registering on Linda Mwananchi Movement party something that could be difficulty due to this blockage from LINDA. The Nairobi senator is eyeing to use the Linda Mwananchi party to vie for the presidential seat in the upcoming general election.
