I Dumped Her: Angel Obinim Claims He Ended Marriage And Doesn’t Miss Florence

According to recent reports, Prominent Ghanaian pastor Bishop Daniel Obinim, widely known as Angel Obinim, has publicly addressed his high-profile marital split from gospel singer Florence Obinim. Addressing his congregation, the controversial cleric set out to set the record straight, firmly insisting that he was the one who initiated the divorce, contrary to widespread media reports suggesting his ex-wife walked away.

Obinim dismissed rumors that he is struggling emotionally following the separation after 24 years of marriage, declaring that he has not missed Florence for a single day since ending the relationship. His statements come after weeks of speculation surrounding the collapse of their union, which became public knowledge in September 2026 when traditional divorce rites were initiated. During those proceedings, Florence and her family returned the traditional drinks (Tiri Nsa) at Sepaase, an offering that was formally accepted by Obinim’s family.

The pastor also reacted to circulating reports that Florence filed for a court divorce demanding substantial assets, including a mansion, church properties, and GHS 2 million in compensation. In a recent video filmed inside his church, Obinim was seen reading court documents that outlined her financial and property demands. Despite these heavy claims, Obinim maintained that he remains unbothered and has fully moved on with his life.

In a decisive move to sever ties completely, Angel Obinim requested that his former spouse cease using his surname. Following the public breakdown of their marriage, the gospel artist has officially rebranded herself as “Queen Florence.” Maintaining a confident posture before his church members, Obinim continually emphasized a single message regarding the end of their decades-long marriage: he was the one who left, not the one who was left behind.
