How Many People Will Be Eliminated on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Next Week, You Ask?
Eric McCandless//ABCDancing With the Stars delivered an extremely emotional Dedication Night this week, and pretty much every single performance left the audience (me) and the judges in tears. So it was no surprise when—after teasing an elimination at the end of the episode—it was revealed that everyone would be staying in the competition for one more week. So…what does this mean for next week? And also important: did your many, many votes this week even count?
Julianne Hough revealed, “on such a special night we didn’t want anyone to be sent home,” before confirming that “all of the scores and votes will carry over to next week.”
Meanwhile, Alfonso Ribeiro confirmed, “In keeping with Horror Movie Night, two couples will be axed.”
Unclear exactly how the votes are weighed on a double-elimination night, but gonna assume the Dedication Night votes and the Horror Movie Night votes will be evenly combined for a new super-score for each couple. This is great news for everyone who was at the bottom of the leaderboard this week, since they’ll be able to get their judges’ scores up!
Reminder: Horror Movie Night airs on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+ before streaming on Hulu.
