All eyes on Godongwana as he delivers mini-budget

CAPE TOWN – Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana is set to deliver the Mid-Term Budget Policy Statement on Wednesday afternoon.

Also known as the mini-budget, it comes as the country navigates a tough economic period driven by the Middle East War.

It’s adding to the pressure of an economy failing to create jobs, record-high fuel prices, and a constantly rising cost of living.

These are some of the issues the Minister will have to consider as opposition and economists watch closely.

Godongwana will deliver the budget at 2pm in Parliament.
