Zakaria Abdulai is like Puff Daddy, he has plenty baby oil for school girls- Gordon Asare-Bediako

Broadcast journalist Gordon Asare-Bediako has sparked serious heat on social media with a heavy statement about the Obuasi SHTS scandal.

Speaking on his show, Gordon Asare-Bediako compared the interdicted headmaster of Obuasi Senior High Technical School, Zakaria Abdulai, to American star Puff Daddy.

He alleged that the headmaster is like Puff Daddy who has plenty baby oil for school girls.

His comment was a direct jab at the ongoing sexual misconduct allegations against the headmaster.

According to Gordon Asare-Bediako, the case of Zakaria Abdulai shows how sexual misconduct is becoming too common in schools.

He said the headmaster’s alleged behaviour is similar to the Puff Daddy lifestyle – using power and influence over young girls.

He did not provide evidence of baby oil, but used the Puff Daddy reference to describe what he claims is abuse of power and sexual exploitation.

His words have gone viral, with many Ghanaians reacting with shock and anger.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) interdicted Mr. Zakaria Abdulai on October 14 over allegations of sexual misconduct involving students at Obuasi SHTS.

The allegations caused students to rampage and destroy school property, leading to the temporary closure of the school.

GES Public Relations Officer, Daniel Fenyi, has clarified that the headmaster has NOT been cleared. He remains interdicted while a full investigation is ongoing.

GES has also directed the Ashanti Regional Director and the Obuasi East Municipal Director to step aside to allow for a clean probe.

Many people say if the allegations are true, the law must deal with the headmaster.

Others say Gordon Asare-Bediako’s comment, though harsh, shows how angry Ghanaians are about sex abuse in schools.

For now, GES says the investigation will determine the truth and has urged the public to stop spreading false news that the headmaster has been freed.
