Africa’s richest man and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has opened up about how much he values his mobile phone, calling it his most important work tool.

Dangote made the remark during a media briefing, where he spoke about his daily business operations and how he relies on his phone to stay connected.

According to him, taking his phone away would be a harsher punishment than prison.

“I think it’s easier to put me in prison than to take my phone away. Taking my phone is a no-go area. I have more than 13 thousand contacts on my phone,” he said.

The billionaire explained that his phone holds over 13,000 contacts, including business associates, partners, and stakeholders worldwide, making it central to managing his vast business empire.

With operations spanning several sectors and countries, constant communication is key to Dangote’s success, and losing access to his phone would disrupt his business network.
