TCN schedules four-hour power outage in Lagos
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has scheduled a four-hour power outage on the Ikeja West–Ejigbo 132kV Transmission Line 1 for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to carry out routine maintenance at the Ejigbo Transmission Substation, a move expected to disrupt electricity supply to some customers in Lagos.
TCN announced the planned outage in a notice issued on Tuesday, explaining that the maintenance crew would work on the transmission line during the scheduled period.
The company did not specify the communities or the number of electricity customers expected to be affected by the exercise.
The outage is scheduled to end at 2 p.m., after which electricity supply may be restored as the relevant transmission and distribution operations permit.
