Gov Adeleke: We Must Give Our Father President Tinubu Time For His Reform To Work
Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that the administration needs more time for its ongoing reforms to produce the desired results.
The governor stressed that four years might not be sufficient for the President to fully implement his policies and address the country’s longstanding challenges.
In a video shared on YouTube by Arise News on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Adeleke made the appeal while expressing his position on the need to allow the President’s reform agenda to take effect.
According to him, Nigerians should recognize that meaningful reforms require time, commitment and consistent implementation before their full benefits can be experienced by citizens.
The governor urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu, whom he referred to as the country’s father, emphasizing that the process of transforming the nation cannot necessarily be completed within a single four-year presidential term.
He maintained that the administration should be given sufficient time to carry out its plans and demonstrate the impact of its policies on the country’s development.
In his words, Adeleke stated, “We must give our father the President time for his reform to work, four years is not enough.”
The statement reflects Adeleke’s appeal for patience as the Federal Government continues to pursue its reform agenda amid public expectations for improved economic conditions and better living standards.
His remarks also highlight the debate surrounding the time required for government policies to deliver tangible results, particularly in a country where citizens are eager to see improvements in their daily lives.
