Addressing the Speaker and other members of the assembly, she said: “Mr Speaker, my name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, member representing the very great people of Egor Constituency and, by God’s grace, the minority leader of this House.”

She subsequently highlighted the need for a legally backed state agency capable of responding proactively to emergencies.

“Speaker, as we speak, we have no strong, legally backed state agency that can respond proactively. Hence, this bill is timely,” she said.

The nameplate in front of her also displayed Osawaru, further drawing attention to the omission of Idibia from her introduction.
