‘I Have Never Seen His Manhood Despite 13 Years of Marriage’ – Pentecost Elder Dragged to Live TV

According to GhanaWeb on Saturday, October 17, 2026, a mother of three from Dunka in the Ashanti Region, Abena Asantewaa, has taken her former husband, Emmanuel Amuzu, an elder of the Church of Pentecost, to the popular Oyerepa Afutuo programme to resolve a dispute following the breakdown of their 13-year marriage.

The case, which was discussed on Oyerepa TV, has attracted attention because of the serious allegations raised by Asantewaa concerning her marriage, financial disagreements and the couple’s intimate relationship.

According to the report, Asantewaa is seeking a refund of GH¢300,000, which she claims was spent on items listed by her family as part of the marriage requirements before their wedding.

She alleged that when they were preparing to marry, Amuzu was constructing a house and told her that he could not afford the items required by her family. She claimed that he asked her to purchase the items on his behalf, promising to reimburse her after the marriage.

However, Asantewaa said the money had not been refunded, despite the couple having lived together as husband and wife for 13 years and having three children.

During the programme, she also made claims about the intimate side of their marriage, saying she had never seen her husband’s manhood throughout their years together.

“I have never seen my husband’s manhood,” she reportedly stated, adding that she would not be able to describe it if someone asked her to do so.

Her account has drawn attention to the personal difficulties she says she experienced during the marriage. She also alleged that her former husband forced himself on her during sexual encounters, raising serious concerns about consent and the treatment of spouses within marriage.

Asantewaa further claimed that she had previously reported some of her marital concerns to a church elder. According to her account, the elder described Amuzu as a holy man and advised her to exercise patience. She also alleged that the elder suggested watching a pornographic film for guidance but watched it alone.

These claims formed part of her account of the difficulties she says she experienced while seeking help with her marriage.

The dispute has also taken a personal turn following the couple’s separation. Asantewaa reportedly disclosed that Amuzu later married her best friend, while she has since entered another relationship.

Despite the separation, she maintains that the financial issue remains unresolved and wants the GH¢300,000 she claims to have spent on the marriage list items returned.

When contacted during the programme, Amuzu denied owing his former wife any money. His response has left the parties with conflicting accounts of the financial arrangement and whether a refund is justified.

The programme’s host, Auntie Naa, reportedly instructed Asantewaa to provide the marriage list so that the claims could be examined as part of efforts to resolve the disagreement.

The case has generated discussion about financial expectations in marriage, the importance of communication between spouses and the challenges that can arise when relationships break down.

However, the allegations made during the broadcast remain claims by the parties involved and should not be treated as proven facts.

The next step will be to establish the details of the marriage agreement, examine the financial claims and determine whether the dispute can be resolved through mediation or requires further legal action.
