Wontumi Radio Host Warns Abu Jinapor: NPP Will One Day Reject You for Trading Party for Money

A broadcaster at Wontumi Radio, known as Daasebre, has launched a sharp attack on Abu Jinapor, accusing him of abandoning a fellow party figure to please North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. In remarks carried online, Daasebre warned that the New Patriotic Party will one day reject Jinapor for what he described as trading his party for money.

The attack centres on the treatment of Honourable Asafo Adjei, whom Daasebre claims has been thrown “under the bus” by Jinapor. He argued that sacrificing a party colleague to curry favour with a political opponent amounts to a betrayal that the NPP will not forget.

The comments add to internal tensions within the NPP, where loyalty and solidarity are closely watched. Criticism from party-aligned media figures is often seen as a signal of deeper dissatisfaction within the rank and file.

Okudzeto Ablakwa, a prominent NDC MP, has been a frequent target of NPP criticism, making any perceived accommodation of him a sensitive matter for party loyalists. Daasebre’s remarks suggest that some within the party’s media ecosystem view Jinapor’s conduct as a step too far.

Neither Abu Jinapor nor Honourable Asafo Adjei has publicly responded to the claims. It remains to be seen whether the criticism will escalate into a wider internal dispute or fade as the party turns its attention to other matters.
