Watch Moment Zanetor Takes Selfie With Bernard Avle

According to a report by Citi 97.3 FM on October 19, 2026, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings took a selfie with Bernard Avle, General Manager of Citi FM and Channel One TV. The light-hearted moment, captured amid a busy day of engagements, has drawn attention for what it says about the relationship between public officials and the media.

Selfies are rarely just selfies. In public life, a shared frame signals familiarity, ease and mutual respect. By pausing for the photo, the minister showed a human side that often gets lost in formal speeches and policy documents, making her more approachable to the many Ghanaians who follow such moments online.

The moment also reflects a healthy working relationship between government and the press. When leaders and media executives interact comfortably, conversations tend to flow more freely and access to explanation improves. For audiences, that can mean clearer communication on issues that affect their daily lives.

However, closeness carries expectations. Citizens will want to see that friendly moments do not blunt the media’s duty to ask hard questions. Citi FM and Channel One TV are platforms many Ghanaians rely on for scrutiny, and observers will hope the warmth seen here coexists with rigorous accountability.

For the minister, the moment is also a small but effective piece of public communication. Shared widely on social media, it humanises public service and encourages engagement, especially among younger audiences who connect more readily with candid, personal content than with official statements.

Ultimately, the importance of this moment lies in what it represents: openness, dialogue and mutual respect between those who govern and those who inform. If that spirit carries into substantive conversations, a simple selfie may prove to be a small sign of a stronger culture of public engagement.
