The mask slips: TTP’s political sympathies laid bare

The recent press release issued by the outlawed TehrikeTaliban Pakistan, known as fitna alkhawarij, in response to the constitutional change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, represents one of the most disturbing developments in Pakistan’s security and political landscape. For the first time, this internationally recognized terrorist organization, whose hands are stained with the blood of thousands of Pakistanis, has chosen to comment directly on Pakistan’s democratic processes, criticizing the imposition of governor’s rule in the province.
