Real Madrid man seriously considering his future with Arsenal among clubs keen on signing him
Arsenal are very much in the market for new players if they become available in January and the Gunners could now be involved in a fight for one of Real Madrid’s top talents.
The Gunners are keen on signing a new left-sided midfield player if they can but Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta are also on the ball if top players in other positions become available.
Now, with the situation over in Madrid developing again, it looks like Arsenal could be in with a shout of signing former Liverpool man, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold only completed his move to Real Madrid in the summer but so far, he’s found himself in a battle for a spot in the starting XI.
Jose Mourinho has Denzel Dumfries to call upon while in recent weeks, Federico Valverde has been given the nod at right-back in a surprise move by Mourinho. Indeed, the same was repeated last night as Madrid hammered Sevilla.
Now, according to TeamTalk, this selection from Mourinho is causing Alexander-Arnold to have yet more second thoughts about his future in Spain.
They report that a host of English clubs are now on high alert over ‘Trent’s’ availability, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and old club Liverpool all keeping a close eye on proceedings in Spain.
Madrid, of course, would much rather keep their asset after winning a long protracted battle for him in the summer.
Nevertheless, with Alexander-Arnold recently regaining his England place he will be keen to ensure he keeps on playing regular football. That opens the door for a return to England as things stand, albeit a loan move is more likely than anything right now.
