MP Millie Odhiambo Responds To TikToker Nyako After Viral Hospital Encounter Claims

Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has responded after TikToker Nyako allegedly complained that the legislator failed to acknowledge her during an encounter at a hospital.

In a post shared on Monday evening, October 19, Odhiambo said she had come across a TikTok video in which Nyako reportedly criticised her for not speaking to her during the encounter.

The outspoken legislator explained that she had spent the previous three days in hospital and was unsure when the alleged incident had occurred.

Odhiambo apologised for apparently passing the TikToker without recognising her, adding humorously that she had not realised she had walked past a celebrity.

“My apologies that I passed a celeb without knowing. My bad,” she wrote, while maintaining a light-hearted tone in her response.

The MP also reflected on the expectations placed on public figures, noting that people sometimes assume leaders are superhuman and may overlook the possibility that they, too, could be unwell.

She said her grandchildren had described the situation as clickbait, adding that she was happy to be of help.

In the same post, Odhiambo shared another encounter involving her grandchildren during a restaurant visit a few days earlier.

According to the legislator, one of the children overheard people suggesting that public figures were increasingly being forced to walk with Generation Z individuals for their safety.

Her grandchildren reportedly approached the group, defended their right to accompany their grandmother, saying they were Gen Zs who could freely walk with her.

Odhiambo praised their response, using the phrase “TIBIM” to express her amusement.

She added her message with a firm stance against bullying, declaring that people should not be subjected to such treatment.
