Ashanti Region Receives Sad News

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled maintenance operations that will temporarily disrupt electricity supply in several communities across the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The company says the exercise is part of efforts to strengthen the electricity distribution network and improve service reliability for customers in the affected areas.

According to the announced schedule, communities expected to experience the interruption on Tuesday include Moshie Zongo, Pankrono, Asokore Mampong, Affordable Housing, Besease, Bampanase, Tafo, Juabeng, Apemso and Boankra, alongside neighbouring communities.

The interruption on Tuesday is expected to begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, the maintenance works will extend to Onwe, Achina, Asinimpong, Kwaso, Donaso, Effiduase, Yaw Nkrumah, Abotanso, Bodomase, Maase and Buoho, including their surrounding areas.

For these communities, the scheduled power outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

ECG has appealed to residents, business operators and institutions within the affected locations to plan ahead and take the necessary precautions to minimise the impact of the temporary loss of electricity.

The company expects the maintenance exercise to contribute to improved electricity distribution and more dependable service delivery in the Ashanti Region.
