Actress Adunni Ade Loses Mother After Prolonged Illness

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade is mourning the death of her mother, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, after a prolonged illness.

The actress announced the sad news on Monday, October 19, in a statement shared on her official social media page. “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return,” she wrote.

“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator on October 18 after a long battle with illness.”

Ade said her mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones.

She also offered prayers for the repose of her mother’s soul and asked for divine strength for the family as they come to terms with the loss.

The actress added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
