ROM VS RMA: Real Madrid Official Starting Line-up Against AS Roma

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Wednesday October 14, 2026, Real Madrid have confirmed their starting lineup for tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, with Jose Mourinho targeting a second consecutive victory in the competition.

The major development is Vinicius Junior’s return to the starting eleven after beginning Real Madrid’s weekend La Liga fixture against Villarreal on the bench. The Brazilian winger will be eager to deliver an impressive performance.

Vinicius recently received a four-match suspension in domestic competitions following his red card against Villarreal. However, the punishment does not prevent him from featuring in European competition, allowing him to return against Roma.

His inclusion means Arda Guler drops to the substitutes’ bench, while Yan Diomande keeps his place in the attacking department alongside Vinicius and French forward Kylian Mbappe.

Jude Bellingham will continue operating in the attacking midfield position, providing creativity and support behind the forwards. Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni also retain their positions as Real Madrid’s central midfield partnership.

Mourinho has made two changes to the defensive line, with both adjustments coming in the full-back positions. Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella have been selected ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alvaro Carreras.

Thibaut Courtois remains Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper for the encounter, continuing his familiar role between the posts as the Spanish giants prepare for another demanding European test.

With Vinicius returning and the attacking trio remaining largely unchanged, Madrid will hope to produce another convincing performance. Their objective is to maintain their perfect Champions League record and strengthen their position in the competition’s league phase.
