Primate Ayodele Reveals Six States Atiku Must Not Visit for Campaigns Ahead of the 2027 Election
According to a report from a video posted on Facebook on October 14, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, warned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against campaigning in six Nigerian states ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The cleric listed Ogun, Kogi, Enugu, Kwara, Oyo and Lagos states, while also cautioning politicians about possible disturbances during election campaigns.
Ayodele reportedly made the statement while addressing journalists at his church’s international headquarters in Lagos on Sunday, October 11, 2026. During his address, he predicted that some politicians could encounter resistance from residents during campaign activities, suggesting that public dissatisfaction with governance could create tension ahead of the election.
Speaking about the potential challenges politicians might face, Ayodele said: “They are going to stone some governors when they are doing campaign. Some people will not even allow APC to do campaign in their area and Tinubu cannot go everywhere to do campaign. If you take Tinubu to everywhere to do campaign na wahala oo.”
The cleric subsequently mentioned Atiku and identified the six states where he advised the former vice president not to campaign. He said: “And Atiku should not go to some states, Ogun, Kogi, Enugu, Kwara, Oyo, Atiku should not go to such places, Lagos be very watchful, you may not understand what I am saying because there would be political accidents.” These statements were reported by Business Africa.
Ayodele also expressed concern about the possibility of politicians losing their lives during campaign activities. He said some politicians could die in the process, although he did not provide independently verifiable evidence that such incidents would occur. His remarks were presented as warnings and predictions rather than confirmed security intelligence.
