Mixed Reactions After President Ruto Was Seen Using a Private Chopper

President William Ruto has sparked public debate after reports showed that he used a private helicopter instead of the military aircraft that many Kenyans are used to seeing during his travel. The change became a talking point after he was seen arriving in Kapyego, Elgeyo Marakwet County, using a private chopper while heading to Chebara.

The development quickly caught the attention of many people online, especially because it was not clear why the president switched from the Air Force helicopter to another aircraft. Some Kenyans questioned the move and asked where the military chopper was.

Others said the issue had created unnecessary speculation because the reason for the switch had not yet been explained.

The helicopter in question was reported to be an Airbus H130, which added even more interest to the matter after the manufacturer announced the delivery of a similar helicopter to Kenya. This caused some people to connect the president’s travel with the newly delivered aircraft.

However, no official explanation has been given to confirm whether the two are related.

Photos and video shared online showed the president arriving in the area using the private chopper. The images, which were linked to LightcastTV and Airbus, spread quickly across social media and led to mixed reactions.

Some people focused on the cost and type of helicopter being used, while others simply expressed surprise that the military aircraft was not used.

Kenyans online continued to ask questions about whether the aircraft belonged to a private owner or whether it was being used for official travel. The lack of clear information made the story even bigger, with many people offering different views and theories.

So far, the exact reason for the change in aircraft has not been established. The president’s office has also not publicly explained why he used the private helicopter instead of the Army one.
