President Ruto Leaves Everyone Speechless After Writing This While Inspecting Digital Learning

President William Ruto has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to digital education and job creation, saying Kenya aims to create more opportunities for young people in the digital economy.

While inspecting digital learning programmes and school facilities in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County, Ruto highlighted the role of ICT hubs, Jitume centres and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions in equipping young people with digital skills.

The President said nearly 300,000 young Kenyans were already earning through digital work, adding that the government aims to increase the number to two million, with opportunities available both locally and internationally.

Ruto also highlighted efforts to strengthen teachers’ digital skills through the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), saying the initiative would help educators deliver lessons under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The government is also distributing digital learning devices to hubs across the country in partnership with Members of Parliament, in a move aimed at improving access to technology, particularly in rural areas.

On school infrastructure, Ruto said 23,000 classrooms had been constructed over the past four years through collaboration with the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF). He also pointed to 27 newly built classrooms in Kiminini as part of efforts to improve learning conditions.

During the visit, the President wrote a message on a digital learning board, drawing attention to the importance of technology in education.

“My very best wishes to every child in class in Kenya and I assure them of my very personal support and attention. Signed by his excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya,” President Ruto wrote.
